On Tuesday, EA SPORTS dropped four new custom build HUT Elite cards in NHL 24

We got four new HUT Elite cards in NHL 24 that feature some fan favourites from back in the day, including Toronto Maple Leafs legend and Hall of Famer Mats Sundin.
Once again, these custom build cards are only obtainable through pack openings or buying off the auction house. They are set at 91 overall and cannot be upgraded.
Let us take a look and break down these new HUT Elite cards.

Mats Sundin - C, SNP
Maple Leaf fans building a theme team will be ecstatic with the recent drops of 90+ overall Toronto cards. He's 6-foot-5 and 231lbs and will be extremely hard to knock off the puck on top of his 93 balance, which can get up to 95 with the Power Forward synergy.
His card has good speed for his size at 92 (acceleration as well) and 90 endurance. The best part of this card is his shooting stats. You can nearly max out his slap shot power and accuracy with Sniper Forward and Shooting Boost synergies.
Overall, his abilities to choose from aren't the best. His zone ability is Born Leader (not terrible), and the superstar abilities are Close Quarters, Big Rig, and Off The Rush (a fun ability but isn't effective).
Evgeni Nabokov - G, HYB
San Jose Sharks great Evgeni Nabokov receives a juicy new card. Unfortunately, he is only six feet tall and won't be an option for competitive lineups. His card does have 99 speed and 95 endurance to help mask his lack of size and gold Light Work.
His superstar abilities are Butterfly Effect, Show Stopper, and Post to Post, all viable abilities to utilize. His synergies are Accelerator Boost, Playmaking Boost, Agile Dangler Boost, and Speed Boost. Again, all decently good synergies.
Mike Green - RD, OFD
The 31-goal scorer back in 2008-09 for the Capitals receives, as you would've expected, a full-blown offensive defenseman card. Green's card comes with 93 speed and acceleration and Accelerator Boost synergy.
It has high-end shooting stats with 99 slap shot and wrist shot accuracy right off the bat. The Offensive Defenseman synergy activated will get his slap shot and wrist shot power up to 97.
Alex Tanguay - LW, PLY
Tanguay is the fastest out of the bunch, with 94 speed and acceleration. He has excellent hand stats that can almost all be maxed out when activating the Agile Dangler Boost and Playmaking Forward synergies.
Tape to Tape isn't the best of zone abilities to choose from. His superstar abilities are Make it Snappy (very good in this year's game), Elite Edges, and Puck on a String. His card may be the best out of the four.
