Players cost three Diamond Collectibles

Two new Diamond Set players have been released in NHL 24 Hockey Ultimate Team, they are Ottawa Senators Wade Redden and Philadelphia Flyers Rick Tocchet.   

Both Tocchet and Redden cost three Diamond Collectibles to unlock their 84 overall card. They can then be upgraded to 93 overall with 21 Power Up Collectibles.

Redden has good speed, size and a deadly shot from the back-end. He has the Two-Way Defensemen and Accelerator Boost synergies, so you can emphasize his speed or help out his defensive stats.

The Quick Pick Zone Ability and Shutdown Superstar Ability allow you to make Redden a puck stealing machine. 

Tocchet comes as a dominant power forward, with speed, balance and strength that make him difficult to knock off the puck.

He comes with the Power Forward Synergy, Truculence and Unstoppable Force, which make him a mini tank on the ice. If you're looking to add a card with some size or body checking that can shoot the puck to your lineup Tocchet is worth the upgrades. 

Here is a clip of me scoring with an 85 overall Tocchet during this past weekend's event, even at a lower overall he is able to be effective.
