All four are professional NHL Gaming players. CadCooks, Polgz, and Geimer are teammates on Caps Gaming, while Deeks plays for The Underdogs.
Cad was the NHL 23 North American Champion, while Polgz is the sole member of the four who competed in last year's All-Star Open.
Three teammates playing against each other in a 1v1 tournament will be an interesting dynamic and fun storyline for fans to keep an eye on.
In order to qualify for the All-Star Open, these four players qualified via an open bracket to a round of 16, and then won single elimination, best-of-three series until it was just the four remaining.
By earning their spots in this event all four players have now automatically qualified for the NHL 24 North American Bracket, and will be four of the 124 players competing for a spot in the World Championship.
The prize pool for the All-Star Open is:
1st: $2000 and a trophy
2nd: $1000
3rd: $500
4th: $500
All prize winnings are in USD.
The tournament will be broadcast on the NHL's Twitch channel at 1pm on Friday February 2nd.
