Canada finished third in Group A and defeat Germany in the quarterfinals and USA in the semifinals to advance to play Finland.
Finland finished atop Group A, knocking off Slovakia in the quarterfinals and Sweden in the semifinals to advance.
Canada and Finland split the best-of-four final 2-2, with Canada winning on aggregate score.
Canada's roster for the final included: Polgz, Ethancy, Loko Crusty, Filyy55, Dumoulin65, and Racc2000.
Loko Crusty led the team in playoff scoring with 31 points in eight games.
Finals roster for the final was: EkiTammenpaa, Vattuyy, NikkeDangles, txmbo999, WeDuX_, and Stammer70.
Vattuyy led Finland with 30 points in eight playoff games.
With the EA SPORTS NHL World Championship on pause and no news on its return it is fantastic to see worldwide NHL Esports events like this put on.
