Players will look to make their mark in NHL 24.
The NHL eSports scene is still relatively new, though the game's competitive side dates far back. Every year, top players in 1s and 6s compete in various tournaments for prizes, bragging rights, and, perhaps most significantly, to make a name and cement themselves as one of the world's top chel eSports talents.
We see similar patterns yearly, whether it's breakout player of the year, most improved, or new rising star. For example, Polgz's rise to being one of the best players in the world came about towards the end of the NHL 21 competitive year and has since carried the momentum. Always known as a a great player, Polgz elevated himself to being one of the best in the world by winning multiple titles in 1v1 and 6v6.
Regarding rising stars, think of players like OwnTheBlue and Sisu33. The Bolts Chel Challenge LAN finalists are aged 18 and 17, respectively, and are keen on making a stronger push in NHL 24.
The fact is, I can go on and list a lot more names of individuals who have excelled and been able to reach new heights or made a mark for the first time. However, the vital thing to consider is that NHL 24 presents an exciting opportunity for every player. Perhaps most exciting is that the community is guaranteed a big push from a new player. So, the question remains: whose year will it be?
NHL 24 will be available worldwide on Oct. 6, 2023, on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation®4, and Xbox One, with three days of early access, dual-entitlement, and more if fans pre-order the X-Factor Edition.
