What more can you say about Connor McDavid's run in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs? The Oilers franchise centerman put up back-to-back four-point performances in Games 4 and 5 to keep his team's hope of hoisting the Stanley Cup alive.

In the third period of Edmonton’s beatdown against Florida in Game 4, the Oilers broke into the Panthers zone off the rush and scored their seventh goal of the game. Connor McDavid was sitting on 31 assists and tied with Wayne Gretzky’s record for most assists in a single playoff.

The veteran Corey Perry slid a backhand pass over to his captain who one-touched it over to a speedy Dylan Holloway who tapped the puck in backdoor on Florida’s Anthony Stolarz. Right then and there, history was made with Connor McDavid’s 32nd assist of the playoffs, passing The Great One’s record.

In honor of his incredible achievement, EA Sports gave McDavid a 99 overall HUT Headliners card in NHL 24 Hockey Ultimate Team.

McDavid has proven this season as the world’s best playmaker and his new card is recognized in that regard by given the playmaking x-factor abilities of Third Eye, Tape To Tape, and Send It.

Additionally, as a 99-rated card, all of his attributes except for endurance and fighting skill are the maximum rating a player can have in the game.

Edmonton Oilers fans will not just want to see their team complete the historical comeback from being down 3-0 in the series, but get their hands on their superstar player’s new incredible card in NHL 24.
