Five new NHL 24 Hockey Ultimate Team Cards for Corey Perry honoring him for making NHL history
One thing is for sure, if you have Corey Perry on your team in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, you can expect to go all the way to the Stanley Cup Final.
Perry is the first player in NHL history to reach the Stanley Cup Finals with five different teams.
His first appearance came with the Anaheim Ducks and their Stanley Cup win in 2007. Then he made the finals three years in a row starting in 2020 with the Dallas Stars. Then in 2021 with the Montreal Canadiens. And lastly in 2022 with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Unfortunately, Corey Perry could be the grim reaper for NHL teams who reach the Stanley Cup Final seeing as he lost in those three consecutive years with Dallas, Montreal, and Tampa Bay.
Regardless, in celebration of his historic achievement, NHL 24 has introduced five 96 overall cards in Hockey Ultimate Team, each representing one of the teams he played for.

His Edmonton Oilers card is eligible for an upgrade, and while it’s not confirmed how to upgrade it, I’m sure it will be a plus-2 upgrade if the Oilers win the Stanley Cup. The other four cards are set at 96 and will not receive any upgrades.
All five cards are identical in synergies, abilities, and attributes. The five abilities EA gave him are spot on to the way he plays. If only there was a chirping ability in the game. That would be perfect for Perry.
His zone ability is Crease Crasher, which received a buff in the most recent gameplay tuner update, and his superstar abilities are Truculence, Total Eclipse, Big Tipper, and Make It Snappy.
The synergies players can choose from are Sniper, Power, and Grinding Forward, along with Checking, Agile Dangler, Shooting, and Defensive Boost.
Players can max out his shooting stats with Sniper Forward equipped and give him 99 agility with either Defensive or Agile Dangler Boost.
Perry’s new cards are available to acquire via a pack opening until Jun. 7. After that, players will have to test their luck over on the auction house.
