Just like in the Game 4 simulation Dallas was able to win the game in triple overtime, this time the score was 2-1. We inserted Sam Carrick for Derek Ryan for Edmonton and kept Dallas' lines the same, including keeping Chris Tanev in the lineup. Roope Hintz scored the game winner, Tyler Seguin and Miro Heiskanen each had two assists. Heiskanen played over 60 minutes, Jake Oettinger had 34 saves.
