Who wins Game 5 in NHL 24?

The fifth entry into our NHL 24 playoff simulation series, today is Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals between the Edmonton Oilers and Dallas Stars.

Our series simulation predicted a Dallas sweep while our Game 4 simulation incorrectly picked Dallas to win.

Just like in the Game 4 simulation Dallas was able to win the game in triple overtime, this time the score was 2-1.

We inserted Sam Carrick for Derek Ryan for Edmonton and kept Dallas' lines the same, including keeping Chris Tanev in the lineup.

The Oilers could not buy a goal, getting stopped on two breakaways and hitting two posts.

Roope Hintz scored the game winner, Tyler Seguin and Miro Heiskanen each had two assists. Heiskanen played over 60 minutes, Jake Oettinger had 34 saves.

Evander Kane scored for Edmonton, while Stuart Skinner had 27 saves.
