    The Czech junior national team travels to Finland on Tuesday for a five-team tournament in Imatra against Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and host Finland.

    This Czech team includes defensemen Radim Mrtka and Jan Skok, who are both projected to be taken in the early rounds of the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.

    Up front, the team includes 16-year-old Adam Novotný, who's not eligible to be drafted until 2026. It also includes several forwards who have already been drafted, including Vojtěch Hradec (Utah HC), Petr Sikora (Washington Capitals), Jiří Felcman (Chicago Blackhawks) and Ondřej Kos (St. Louis Blues). Felcman (Switzerland), Kos and Richard Žemlička (both Finland) are the only selections that don’t currently play in Czechia.

    Like the other teams competing in the tournament, players based in North America are not included. Czechs playing overseas that will occupy several spots on the final World Junior squad include goaltenders Michal Hrabal (Utah) and Jakub Milota (Nashville Predators), defensemen Jakub Dvořák (Los Angeles Kings), Jakub Fibigr (Seattle Kraken) and Vojtěch Port (Anaheim Ducks), and forwards Maximilian Curran (Colorado Avalanche), Miroslav Holinka (Toronto Maple Leafs), Adam Jecho (St. Louis), Eduard Šalé (Seattle) and highly-ranked draft prospect Adam Benák.

    Goaltenders: Jakub Smolka (Vítkovice), Jan Kavan (Kometa Brno).
