After revitalizing his career with Dynamo Moskva, the former Anaheim Ducks draft pick brings his offensive production to Spartak for the 2026-27 season to continue his overseas dominance.
Another former NHLer is on the move in the KHL again. This time, it is Maxime Comtois, who is joining Spartak Moskva for the 2026-27 season.
Comtois, 27, spent the last two seasons with Dynamo Moskva, where he became a very reliable player for the organization.
In his first season with Dynamo, he had 21 goals and 29 assists for 50 points in 62 games. In the second season with the club, he had 19 goals and 15 assists for 34 points in 54 games.
Comtois was last in the NHL back in 2023-24, where he played one game for the Carolina Hurricanes and recorded an assist. He signed a PTO with the Vegas Golden Knights; however, that didn't work out.
The Quebec native was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the second round in the 2017 NHL Draft. Unfortunately, his time in the NHL didn't work out, and now he is making a solid career overseas, which is nice to see.
In 211 games over six years in the NHL, Comtois scored 38 goals and 49 assists for 87 points and was a -35.
