Former NHLer Justin Bailey is having a great start to his KHL career.
Former NHL forward Justin Bailey signed a one-year contract with Barys Astana of the KHL back in July.
So far, Bailey's decision to move to the KHL is benefiting him in a major way.
Bailey is simply thriving this season with Barys Astana, and the truth can be seen with his stats. In six games so far with the KHL club this campaign, the 6-foot-4 forward has posted six goals, four assists, and 10 points.
With numbers like these, it is apparent that Bailey is playing some great hockey in the KHL right now. Barys Astana must be ecstatic about their decision to sign him this off-season because of it.
Bailey was selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, 52nd overall. In 141 career NHL games over eight seasons split between the Buffalo Sabres, Philadelphia Flyers, Vancouver Canucks, and San Jose Sharks, he posted 10 goals, 13 assists, 23 points, and 157 hits.
Bailey spent most of his time in North America in the AHL, however. In 509 career AHL games over 10 seasons, he recoded 180 goals, 139 assists, and 319 points.
