The Champions Hockey League’s last three round of 16 games were played on Wednesday night, producing its three remaining quarterfinalists.

Sparta Prague, Genève-Servette and Red Bull Salzburg all entered the return legs of their round-of-16 ties with the lead, and all three were able to get the job done to advance to the Champions Hockey League quarterfinals. They join the Pinguins Bremerhaven, Färjestad Karlstad, Eisbären Berlin, ZSC Lions Zurich and the Växjö Lakers, who all advanced on Tuesday.

Scroll down to see the quarterfinal matchups and dates.

Ocelaři Třinec (CZE) 1 – Sparta Prague (CZE) 1
    Sparta advances on aggregate 5-2

Leading by three goals and playing on the road, Sparta wanted a slow, defensive game and that’s essentially what they got. Valtteri Kemiläinen scored a power-play goal in the last minute of the first period to give Sparta a four-goal aggregate lead. Late in the third period, Třinec pulled goaltender Marek Mazanec in an attempt to tie the game, and Justin Addamo did just that with 2:19 remaining.

    Genève-Servette (SUI)
    7 – Lausanne HC (SUI) 4
    Genève advances on aggregate 12-4

Up by five after last week’s convincing victory, the defending European club champion gave up the first goal in this game to their regional rival but Genève stayed even with Lausanne through a period, widened the aggregate lead in the second and then pulled away in the third. Vincent Praplan scored four goals, including one on a penalty shot.

Red Bull Salzburg (AUT) 5 – Lahti Pelicans (FIN) 0
    Salzburg advances on aggregate 7-1

Troy Bourke’s third-period goal in the first leg was the difference going into this game, and his “jailbreaking” goal on a shorthanded breakaway set the tone early in the return leg. After that, the Pelicans never seriously threatened, with Salzburg eventually winning this game 5-0, and 7-1 on aggregate. Bourke and Andrew Rowe each had two points.
