Wild's Marc-Andre Fleury named recipient of Tom Kurvers Award and nominated for King Clancy Award.

Wild beat Penguins on Fleury night

The Minnesota Wild announced today that goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is the recipient of the Tom Kurvers Humanitarian Award. 

Along with that the Wild also announced Fleury as a nominee for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy award which is given to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities of and off the ice and has also made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community. 

Fleury will be honored with an on-ice presentation prior to the Wild's home game against the Seattle Kraken on Thursday. 

The future Hall of Fame goaltender has played in 39 games this year for the Wild and has posted a 17-14-5 record with a 2.98 goals-against average and a .895 save percentage with two shutouts.

As for the Tom Kurvers Award, Fleury has been given the award in which the Wild give to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice while making a significant humanitarian contribution to his community. 

The award was given to honor Kurvers and what he did for the Wild.
