    Denver University won their third NCHC Championship with a 4-1 win over Omaha last night.

    ST. PAUL - Denver won their third NCHC Frozen Faceoff Championship in program history after their 4-1 victory over the No. 11-ranked Omaha Mavericks on Saturday at Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota. 

    Their third NCHC Championship now ties Minnesota Duluth for the most in NCHC History. 

    Omaha picked up the first goal of the game but Denver's captain and senior forward, McKade Webster, scored the next two goals six minutes into the second period and off went the Pioneers. 

    The Pioneers finished the game by outshooting the Omaha Mavericks 35-15. Miko Matikka scored with around four minutes left in the third period to make it 3-1. 

    Rieger Lorenz ended it by depositing Jared Wright's pass in front of the net behind Simon Latkoczy to make it a 4-1 game.
