Calgary Hitmen forward Brandon Gorzynski has committed to Arizona State, it was reported earlier this week.

Gorzynski, a 2025 fourth-round pick of the Dallas Stars, spent all of 2024-25 with the Hitmen, scoring 17 goals and adding 25 assists for 42 points in 68 regular-season games. With Calgary having made the playoffs, Gorzynski added a further eight points in 11 games.

Prior to making the jump to the WHL, Gorzynski spent time playing his minor hockey for the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes and the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite.

With Gorzynski not scheduled to join the Sun Devils until next fall, he will have the opportunity to get another WHL season with the Hitmen under his belt. As someone who has the ability to find soft spaces in high-danger areas, Gorzynski can make opponents pay and should continue to do so in 2025-26.
