American International College defenseman Theo Angesved has signed a one-year deal in Sweden with Tingsryds AIF, it was announced earlier this week.

Angesved, a product of Vaxjo, Sweden, spent the entire season with the Yellow Jackets, putting up one goal and one assist for two points in 12 games. Across a total of 27 NCAA games, he scored three goals and added three assists for six points.

Prior to coming to North America, Angesved spent time playing in the J20 Nationell as well as time playing pro hockey in both the SHL (Sweden's top pro circuit) and the HockeyEttan (Sweden's third-tier circuit and the league in which Tingsryds AIF plays).

With the Yellow Jackets dropping from Division I to Division II, their program was bound to lose players. As Angesved heads back to his home country, he should be able to help Tingsryds AIF right away, having produced five points in 21 career games at the HockeyEttan level already.
