Kirkwood is currently playing U18 AAA in Quebec
College Charles-Lemoyne forward Aiden Kirkwood has committed to Cornell, it was announced Monday.
Kirkwood, a product of Montreal, Que., has split time this season between the Riverains and the QMJHL's Baie-Comeau Drakkar. In two games for the Drakkar, Kirkwood has collected a goal while putting up 14 goals and 42 points in 37 games with the Riverains.
Across 77 career QM18AAA regular season games, Kirkwood has put up 65 points. Drafted by the Drakkar in the fifth round of the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft, Kirkwood will likely make the jump to join the team full time next season.
Not scheduled to join the Big Red until 2027, Kirkwood has already shown to be a difference maker at whatever level he plays at. Skilled with the puck while also disruptive at both ends, Kirkwood will be a good addition when he jumps to the NCAA.
