Lawson is currently plying his trade with the NAHL's Maryland Black Bears
Maryland Black Bears defenseman Aiden Lawson has committed to Alaska-Fairbanks, it was reported Sunday.
A product of Eagle River, Alaska, Lawson is in his first season with the Black Bears, putting up two goals and nine assists for 11 points in 33 games.
Prior to making the transition to the NAHL, Lawson played for Fox Motors 16U, collecting six goals and 43 assists for 49 points in 59 regular season games.
As he gets set to join the Nanooks in 2026, Lawson will have the chance to continue to develop with the Black Bears. Although he stands at 5-foot-8, Lawson has flashed solid puck moving skills and will be one to watch when he makes the jump.
