

Cape Breton Eagles goaltender Alexis Cournoyer has committed to Cornell, it was announced on Sunday.
A native of Trois-Rivières, Que., Cournoyer appeared in 21 regular season games for the Eagles in 2024-25, where he posted a .942 save percentage with three shutouts.
Cournoyer is eligible for the 2025 NHL Entry Draft and is ranked as the 16th best North American netminder by NHL Central Scouting in its final 2025 prospects rankings.
A 2005-born goaltender, Cournoyer will make the jump to the NCAA and join the Big Red for the 2025-26 season.
