Saginaw Spirit goaltender Andrew Oke has committed to Lake Superior State, it was announced earlier this week.

Oke, who is in his overage season with the Spirit, has made 49 appearances with the team this year, collecting a record of 26-21-2 to go along with a 3.77 GAA and a .877 SP.

Drafted by the Spirit in the fifth round of the 2020 OHL Priority Selection, Oke has spent parts of four seasons with Saginaw, posting a career record of 78-57-5, a 3.68 GAA and a .875 SP across 150 appearances.

A native of Shelby Township, Mich., Oke played his minor hockey with Honeybaked and Belle Tire before making the jump to the OHL.

As Oke gets set to join his teammate Calem Mangone with the Lakers next season, he should have an opportunity to display his talents during his freshman year. As someone who has the ability to remain calm and composed in his crease, Oke will be an important player for Lake Superior in the future.
