Arizona State defenseman Cade Alami has transferred to Minnesota State, he announced Monday.

A native of Bedford, N.Y., Alami recently finished his junior season with the Sun Devils where he had two assists in 14 games.

Prior to this season with the Sun Devils, Alami spent two seasons playing for Boston College. Throughout his 53 career NCAA games, he has six assists to go along with 39 penalty minutes.

Before joining the NCAA, the towering defender played his junior hockey for the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL and the Jersey Hitmen of the NCDC.

While he may not be relied upon for offense, Alami knows how to use his reach to his advantage, making it hard for the opposition to gain positioning in front of the net.
