Defensive commitment Alex Bosland joins Army's ranks, bringing BCHL experience to bolster the Black Knights' blue line and support their Atlantic Hockey America aspirations.
Army lands another commitment as of late, this time in the BCHL.
Alex Bosland, a New Jersey native who turned 21 two weeks ago, will spend his freshman season in the Atlantic Hockey America conference.
Bosland arrives from three seasons in the British Columbia Hockey League with four different teams, including his BCHL beginnings with the Powell River Kings, followed by the Brooks Bandits in that same season. He would make a stop with the Coquitlam Express before finishing his career out with quite some time at the Blackfalds Bulldogs, totaling 92 games and 28 points there.
Bosland is listed by many as a “3.5 star” prospect, which is a solid get for an Army squad looking to expand on last season.
He’ll be in charge of playing a role in taking away dangerous opportunities, so that AHA goaltender of the year J.J Cataldo can clean up the routine plays and carry his confidence into his junior year.
Army was 12-7-6 last year, struggling to get on a roll as the last point they’d record back-to-back wins was in mid January.
