Everett Silvertips defenseman Jaxon Pisani has committed to Providence, it was announced earlier this week.

Pisani, a product of Sturgeon County, Alta., split time last season between the Silvertips and the St. Albert Raiders U18. Although he was held pointless in one WHL game, Pisani scored seven goals and added 20 assists for 27 points in 27 regular season games.

The son of former NHLer Fernando Pisani, Jaxon played for the Raiders, St. Albert Sabres and the St. Albert Flyers throughout his minor hockey career.

With Pisani committed to the Friars, he will get the chance to develop his game in Everett over the next few seasons. A mobile. offensive-minded defender, Pisani has the chance to become a difference maker at the WHL level before making the jump to college.
