Everett Silvertips forward Beau Courtney has committed to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, it was announced earlier this week.
Courtney, who joins the list of CHL players to recently commit to an NCAA school, is in his final season with the Silvertips.
Through 18 games in 2024-25, Courtney has scored four goals and added three assists for seven points. Over his four WHL seasons (all with the Silvertips), Courtney has put up 65 points in 185 regular season games. A product of Parker, Colo., Courtney played his minor hockey with the Colorado Thunderbirds.
As Courtney gets set to head off to Alaska next year, he could have a chance to step into the Nanooks lineup and make an impact. Courtney has the tools to create and could slot into their middle six nicely during his freshman season.
