Barrie Colts forward Beau Jelsma has committed to Providence, it was announced on Monday.
A native of London, Ontario, Jelsma scored 20 goals and recorded 32 assists in 57 regular season games for the Colts this past season.
Jelsma also appeared in four games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins — the AHL affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins — during the 2023-24 season, where he scored a goal and tallied two assists.
A 2004-born skater, Jelsma will make the jump to the NCAA and join the Friars for the 2025-26 season and provide a boost to Providence's forward group.
