Ben Macbeath commits to Denver

Macbeath is scheduled to play for the BCHL's Salmon Arm Silverbacks this season

The Denver Pioneers received a commitment from defenseman Ben Macbeath, it was announced this past week. 

A product of Calgary, Alta. Macbeath is scheduled to play for the Salmon Arm Silverbacks (BCHL) this upcoming season. 

Prior to committing to the Pioneers, Macbeath spent the 2023-24 season playing for Edge School U18 Prep where he scored six goals and added 23 assists for 29 points in 26 regular season games. He added a further six points in five playoff games. 

Not scheduled to suit up for the Pioneers until the 2026-27 season, Macbeath will have the opportunity to develop his skills in the BCHL. A smooth-skating defenseman, Macbeath uses his mobility to make a difference at both ends of the ice. Although he is still only 16, he will be one to watch with the Silverbacks.
