Wilmott is currently playing for the USHL's Sioux Falls Stampede

Sioux Falls Stampede forward Ben Wilmott has committed to Ohio State, it was announced earlier this week.

Hailing from Seattle, Wash., Wilmott is in his second USHL season, having split time this year between the Stampede and the Chicago Steel. Although he was held pointless in two games with the Steel, Wilmott has scored five goals and collected 13 points in 13 games with Sioux Falls.

Drafted by the Steel in the sixth round of the 2023 USHL Entry Draft (he was also drafted by the Steel in 2022), Wilmott played with the North Jersey Avalanche 16U before making the jump to juniors.

With two years left of junior eligibility following 2024-25, Wilmott will be heading to join the Buckeyes next fall. A skilled puck manager, Wilmott can find players through seams and maneuver himself in tight areas to create looks.
