Bentley defenseman Nick Bochen has signed a one-year deal in Sweden with Vimmerby HC, it was announced earlier this week.

A product of North Vancouver, B.C., Bochen just finished his third season with the Falcons and fifth overall in the NCAA, putting up nine goals and 21 assists for 30 points in 40 games. Over a total of 142 career collegiate games between Bentley and Quinnipiac, Bochen put up 24 goals and 57 assists for 81 points.

Before heading off to the NCAA, Bochen played parts of three seasons in the BCHL with the Prince George Spruce Kings as well as his minor hockey with Burnaby Winter Club.

With Bochen off to the HockeyAllsvenskan (Sweden's second-tier pro league), he should be able to carry the confidence he had in his game this season to Vimmerby HC.  A smart, puck-moving defender, Bochen could be someone who makes some noise with his play.
