Madison Capitols forward Bobby Cowan has committed to Western Michigan, it was announced earlier this week.
Cowan, ranked 158th amongst North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting, is in his first season with the Capitols where he has collected 20 goals and 24 assists for 44 points in 44 games.
A native of Edina, Minn., Cowan has spent parts of two seasons in the USHL with the Capitols and the Omaha Lancers. Across that span, he has put up 50 points in 64 regular season games.
Before making the jump the the USHL full time, Cowan played high school hockey for Edina High as well as his minor hockey with the MN Penguins, Blue Army, MN Lakers, Edina Bantam, and the Minnesota Blades.
With Cowan previously committed to St. Thomas, he will now likely join the Broncos in 2026. Having been one of the main play drivers on the Capitols this year, he has made himself one to watch and will be a solid addtion when he makes his way to Western Michigan.
