Boston College Winger Departs for QMJHL cover image

Gavin Cornforth is headed up North to the QMJHL for the Moncton Wildcats, who just had their offense become even stronger.

Another departure for Canadian juniors, as Boston College Freshman Gavin Cornforth is headed to the QMJHL’s Moncton Wildcats, who drafted him in their respective draft back in 2022.

A right winger, Cornforth has played 18 games this season with three assists for the Eagles of Hockey East.

Moncton, already 2nd out of 18 teams in the QMJHL, gets even stronger with this addition. Cornforth was coming off a sensational season with Dubuque in the USHL, with a symmetrical 27 goals and 27 assists over 62 games in the Midwest.

Moncton is back in action January 3rd against Halifax. There is no word on if Cornforth will be ready to play by then, as he makes the departure for New Brunswick.

Cornforth can always come back to Boston College if he elects.
