A 2020 fourth-round pick of the Colorado Avalanche, Ambrosio spent the past four seasons playing with the Eagles
Boston College forward Colby Ambrosio has transferred to Miami University (Ohio) for the 2024-25 season, it was announced this past week.
A fourth-round pick of the Colorado Avalanche in the 2020 NHL Draft, Ambrosio just wrapped up his senior season with the Eagles, where he had two goals and six assists for eight points in 40 games.
Over the course of his four seasons with the Eagles, Ambrosio had 28 goals and 38 assists for 66 points in 138 career NCAA games.
Ambrosio joins a Redhawks team that is coached by Anthony Noreen, whom Ambrosio played with when he was a part of the Tri-City Storm in the USHL.
In parts of two seasons with the Storm, Ambrosio had 38 goals and 36 assists for 74 points in 105 games played.
While this is his final season of eligibility, Ambrosio is a good get for the Redhawks program. After finishing dead last in the NCHC last season with a 7-26-3 record, the hiring of Noreen as well as Ambrosio joining will hopefully result in more wins this upcoming season.
