Hutson notched his first NHL point in his first period of play in the NHL

Former Boston University defenseman and current Montreal Canadien Lane Hutson notched his first NHL point against the Detroit Red Wings on Monday.

The 2022 second-round pick of the Canadiens, fresh off of signing his entry-level contract on Friday, assisted on Brendan Gallagher's 14th goal of the season only 4:25 into his first game.

While the Canadiens would go on to lose the game after being up 4-1, Hutson showed well in his NHL debut. His 21:54 of ice time was third on the Habs behind David Savard and Mike Matheson.

With Montreal playing its final game of the season tonight against the Red Wings, Habs fans will get to see Hutson suit up for the first time at the Bell Centre.
