U.S. NTDP U17 forward Cannon Thibodeau has committed to Notre Dame, it was announced Friday. 

Hailing from Charleston, S.C., Thibodeau split last season between the Toronto Marlboros U16 and Appleby College. With the Marlboros, Thibodeau scored 29 goals and added 37 assists for 66 points in 33 regular season games. Thibodeau accumulated 16 points in eight games with Appleby. 

Prior to 2024-25, Thibodeau played his U15 year with the Marlboros and his U14 season with the Mississauga Reps.

With Friday being the first day that the 2009 age group could commit to NCAA schools, Thibodeau joined a flurry of talent all across North America in committing. A talented player who uses his speed to create off the rush, Thibodeau will be one to watch for the NTDP before heading off to join the Fighting Irish in 2027.
