
Canucks' 2025 selection Kieren Dervin switches his collegiate path, swapping Penn State for the University of Michigan.
Canucks draftee Kieren Dervin is headed to college. The 2025 3rd round (65th Overall) pick announced his commitment to the University of Michigan on Instagram this morning. The 19 year old forward was previously committed to Penn State University, and was projected to join the NCAA this fall, according to The Daily Collegian's Chase Fisher. Whether he continues that trajectory remains to be seen.
Dervin played the 2025-26 Season with the OHL's Kingston Frontenacs. Through 53 games, Dervin earned 42 points (17 goals + 25 assists). He also suited up in four postseason contests for the Frontenacs, notching two assists as Kingston was swept by the Ottawa 67s
