Swift Current Broncos forward Carlin Dezainde has committed to Connecticut, it was announced last week.

Dezainde, who hails from Calgary, Alta., is in his final season of junior hockey eligibility. Having split time between both the Broncos and the Prince George Cougars in 2024-25, he has collected 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points in 25 games.

An undrafted free agent who signed with the Medicine Hat Tigers in 2021, Dezainde has played in 212 career WHL regular season games across parts of five seasons, putting up 120 points.

As Dezainde joins the Huskies next fall, he will be one to watch. Having proven himself at every level he's played at, Dezainde has the skills made for the NCAA level and with a never give up attitude, he should thrive.
