Former Milton Menace goaltender Carter Bickle has committed to Long Island, it was announced earlier this week.
A product of Brooklin, Ont., Bickle spent this past season playing in the OJHL with the Menace and the King Rebellion, going 17-16-6 across 41 combined appearances. Having joined the Menace midway through the season, Bickle was a big part of their postseason success, posting a record of 14-6 along with a 2.14 GAA and a .936 SP in 20 appearances.
Prior to this year, Bickle spent parts of three seasons with the OHL's Oshawa Generals and the QMJHL's Charlottetown Islanders. His best season came with the Islanders last year where he posted a stat line of 16-21-4, a 3.52 GAA and a .890 SP in 45 regular season appearances.
Prior to making the jump to the junior level, Bickle played his minor hockey with the Oshawa Generals and the Whitby Wildcats.
As Bickle heads off to the NCAA, he will be surely be bringing confidence with him. Having been one of the better goalies in the OJHL this season, Bickle will be joining a Sharks team that will likely look to him to be a major contributor to their success.
