Committed Corner: March 11, 2026 cover image

Take a look at this week's top NCAA committed players in junior hockey, ready to make their mark at the collegiate level.

The next generation of NCAA Division I Hockey players almost always go through junior hockey at one of the six top junior leagues in North America. These leagues are the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League, United States Hockey League, North American Hockey League and BCHL. The top players this week are listed are in alphabetical order by their last name, not their league.

Owen Drury: Forward, Maryland Black Bears (NAHL). Stonehill College.

The 6'4" forward had an instrumental four point weekend, helping the NAHL's top team to yet another sweep. Drury's four points came at crucial points in each contest, with his assist helping on Friday's go head goal. Saturday's hat trick was the difference for Maryland in their 6-3 win against Philadelphia. As an age out player, he will join Stonehill next season.

Christian Kim: Forward, Trail Smoke Eaters (BCHL). Air Force Academy

Kim had a spectacular pair of games at home. The future Air Force Falcon grabbed seven points (1 goal + 6 assists) in two contests. He is having a stellar year, tied for  third place in the BCHL and first on Trail with his 39 assists. As the Smoker Eaters firmly hold second place in the BCHL's Interior West Division, I anticipate more assists from Kim in the postseason.

Maxim Massé: Forward ,Chicoutimi Saguenéens (QMJHL). University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Anaheim Ducks 2024 3rd Round.

I try to not make a habit of repeating players in this series but Massé has been a juggernaut as of late. He more than doubled last week's point total from six to 13 (2 goals + 11 assists). Massé now has a staggering 27 points (11 goals + 16 assists). Unsurprisingly, Chicoutimi is the best team in the QMJHL by 15 points with 11 days until the regular season concludes.

J.J. Monteiro: Forward, Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL). Providence College.

Monteiro was a solid player in Waterloo before he was dealt to Sioux Falls the middle of last season. Now working under arguably the USHL's best Head Coach Ryan Cruthers, Monteiro has blossomed with the Stampede,  especially as a captain this year. This past weekend was no exception potting four points (2 goals + 2 assists) in a pair of outings against the Tri-City Storm. Being a 2006 birth year, Monteiro has one more year of junior eligibility left before aging out. At the time of publication, Sioux Falls leads the USHL's Western Conference with 74 points, five behind league leading Youngstown.

Braidy Wassilyn: Forward, London Knights (OHL). Boston University.

A Top 50 player for the 2026 NHL Draft according to Daily Faceoff , Wassilyn dished out five assists in three games to start the month of March. Three of those assists came in London's dominant 10-2 win in Erie on March 6. Two night's prior, earned a primary assist on the game winning goal against Guelph. The Knights' next four games are split between conference rivals Guelph and Windsor with key playoff seeding up for grabs.

Jonas Woo: Defenseman, Medicine Hat Tigers (WHL). Arizona State University.

Woo extended his point streak to 11 games with six assists and a goal in a quartet of contests. Half of those helpers came in a 6-3 win over Brandon on Mar. 4. He showed determination by factoring in Medicine Hat's lone goal in an 6-1 loss to Edmonton. The blueliner struck again last night against Regina, kickstarting the Tigers to a 6-0 win with the opening goal. Medicine Hat has gotten better as the campaign progressed. As Woo continues to heat up, the Tigers are tied for second in the WHL and ready for playoff hockey.
