Calgary Hitmen forward Connor Hvidston has committed to Colorado College, it was announced Wednesday.

Hvidston, a 2022 fifth round pick of the Anaheim Ducks, completed his overage season with the Hitmen this year, putting up 19 goals and 37 assists for 56 points in 68 regular season games. With the Hitmen having made the playoffs, Hvidston collected two goals and five points in 11 games.

Hailing from Tisdale, Sask., Hvidston was drafted by the Swift Current Broncos in the seventh round of the 2019 WHL Prospects Draft. Over a combined 238 career WHL regular season games with the Broncos and the Hitmen, he scored 80 goals and added 132 assists for 212 points.

Prior to the WHL, Hvidston played his minor hockey for the North East Wolfpack, Tisdale Trojans and the Yorkton Maulers.

With Hvidston off to join the Tigers, he will likely have a large role out of the gates. A talented player who has the wherewithal to create plays for himself and others, Hvidston will fit in seamlessly in the NCAA.
