Edgy forward Daniel Walters commits to Cornell after two QMJHL seasons. He brings grit and scoring to Ithaca.
After two seasons playing for his hometown Halifax Mooseheads, Daniel Walters made his commitment to the NCAA. Walters made the announcement via social media yesterday.
The freshly turned 18 year old plays the game on the edge. In 65 games this year, Walters earned 30 points (15 goals + 15 assists) and a league third 110 penalty minutes. This is particularly impressive following the QMJHL's 2023 Fighting Ban.
According to former USPHL Commissioner Bob Turow on X, Walters will head to Ithaca in the fall. He is the 114th Ranked North American Skater in NHL Central Scouting's Final Rankings. I anticipate a more physical team could select him in one of the later rounds.
