Calgary Hitmen defenseman Dax Williams has committed to Holy Cross, it was announced earlier this week.

Williams, who recently wrapped up his third full WHL season, scored two goals and added 18 assists for 20 points in 68 regular season games with the Hitmen. In a further 11 playoff games, he collected an assist.

Drafted by the Hitmen in the sixth round of the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft, Williams has played in 173 career WHL regular season games with Calgary, putting up seven goals and 39 assists for 46 points. Before that, Williams played his minor hockey with the CBHA Blackhawks, the Calgary Bisons and the Calgary Buffaloes.

With Williams heading to join the Crusaders this fall, they will be getting an effective defender who makes his presence felt at both ends of the ice. Calm and collected with the puck, Williams moves it up ice with a purpose and is bound to be an impact player at Holy Cross.
