Former Denver forward Connor Caponi has signed a one-year deal in Wales with the Cardiff Devils, it was announced Tuesday.

Caponi, a product of Brookfield, Wis., just finished his fifth season with the Pioneers, putting up five goals and four assists for nine points in 42 games. Across 185 career games with Denver, Caponi scored 18 goals and added 20 assists for 38 points.

Before heading off to Denver, Caponi played his junior hockey with the U.S. NTDP and the USHL's Waterloo Black Hawks. Caponi played his minor hockey for Culver Military Academy and the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals.

As Caponi jets off to play in the United Kingdom's top-tier league, he should be able to make an immediate impact for the Devils. A hard-working player, Caponi goes hard to the dirty areas and makes those around him better.
