    Former Rimouski Océanic forward Dominic Pilote has committed to UMass, it was announced on Monday.

    A native of St-Basile-le-Grand, Que., Pilote appeared in 63 regular season games for the Océanic this past season, tallying 13 goals and 22 assists.

    Pilote will remain in the QMJHL next season but will suit up for the Newfoundland Regiment.

    A 2006-born skater, Pilote will make the jump to the NCAA and join the Minutemen for the 2026-27 season.
