Sioux City Musketeers defenseman Drake Murray has committed to Harvard, it was announced earlier this week.
Murray. a product of Manhattan Beach, Calif., just wrapped up his first season of junior hockey, putting up six goals and 16 assists for 22 points in 53 regular season games. With the Musketeers having made the playoffs, Murray got into five games and put up six points.
Prior to making his way to the USHL, Murray spent time playing for the Los Angeles Jr. Kings and Shattuck St. Mary's. He regularly flashed his offensive abilities, including an impressive 71 points in 53 games with the Jr. Kings.
With Murray off to join the Crimson, he should play an important role for the team when the puck drops. While he may not have as much experience as other players when it comes to playing junior hockey, Murray proved he could hang at the level and should be able to play in all situations with Harvard off the hop.
