Montgomery is in his sophomore season with the Tigers
Colorado College sophomore forward Drew Montgomery has been named NCHC Forward of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Montgomery, a product of Grand Forks, N.D., had a solid weekend for the Tigers, scoring three goals, including two game-winners, en route to two wins against Miami.
Through 30 games this season with the Tigers, Montgomery has recorded 10 goals and added six assists for 16 points. Across 65 career NCAA games, the 21-year old has 15 goals and 11 assists for 26 points.
Before making his way to Colorado College, Montgomery spent parts of three seasons in the USHL with the Tri-City Storm and the Omaha Lancers.
With the Tigers set to face off against the Huskies this upcoming weekend, they will look to Montgomery again to continue his hot streak. As someone who needs little time to deposit the puck in the net, Montgomery has emerged as a go-to player and will only continue to get better.
