    Duncan Thompson Commits To Sacred Heart

    Berkshire School forward Duncan Thompson has committed to Sacred Heart, it was announced earlier this week.

    A native of London, ON, Thompson has 47 points (17 goals, 30 assists) in 31 games for the Berkshire School this season.

    Thompson has also played 20 games for the Holy Name Bears 18U AAA team this season, tallying 30 points (14 goals, 16 assists).

    A 2006-born skater, Thompson already stands at six-foot-one and will have ample time to continue to grow and develop as a player before making the jump to Sacred Heart.

    What areas of Thompson's game will translate to the NCAA level?

    Thompson’s upside is in his intensity. Never takes a shift off ever. His puck retrieval skills and defensive zone play is strong. His vision, play making , and hockey smarts is stellar. Been watching him for a while and just continues to make leaps and bounds in improvement. His current coach said he is the hardest working and most disciplined player he has worked with in over 10 years including his time with NCAA D1 athletes. Thompson can be a legitimate force in NCAA if he continues to develop as he has been. He is quietly on a few NHL draft lists.
