

The ECHL's Allen Americans have signed twin brothers Rylan and Mike Van Unen to one-year deals, it was announced Thursday.
Both hailing from Kamloops, B.C., Rylan played forward for the Wildcats while Mike patrolled the blue line.
Rylan, who just finished his senior season at Northern Michigan, scored four goals and added six assists for 10 points in 33 games. Over the course of his four-year NCAA career, he had 13 goals and seven assists for 20 points in 84 games.
Mike, who just finished his fifth season with the Wildcats, scored one goal and added three assists for four points in 17 games. He also joined the Adirondack Thunder (ECHL) at the end of the season, collecting one assist in 11 games.
Over the span of his five-year NCAA career, Mike had nine goals and 28 assists for 37 points in 150 games.
As both of them get set for their first full pro seasons together, they will each get the opportunity to earn important roles with the Americans and should be important players from the get-go.
