The ECHL's Savannah Ghost Pirates have signed former UMass-Lowell and Michigan forward Nick Granowicz to a one-year deal, the team announced this past week.

Granowicz just finished his fifth NCAA season and first with the River Hawks, collecting four goals and four assists for eight points in 25 games. After his NCAA season was done, Granowicz saw five regular season games with Savannah where he scored three goals.

Having suited up for the Wolverines between 2019-2023, Granowicz finished his five-year NCAA career with 21 goals and 23 assists for 44 points in 126 games.

While it was a small sample size to end the year, Granowicz made a seamless transition to the ECHL level. Having impressed Ghost Pirates' management enough for them to bring him back, Granowicz should factor into the lineup as soon as the season opens and could be a candidate to see AHL time if he can keep up the solid production going in 2024-25.
