Duplessis played for Quinnipiac last season

The ECHL's Utah Grizzlies have singed former Quinnipiac goalie Vincent Duplessis to a one-year deal, the team announced Monday.

Duplessis, who hails from Quebec, Que., suited up in 30 games for the Bobcats last season, posting a record of 21-7-2 to go along with a 2.02 GAA and a .914 SV%. Duplessis also joined the Grizzlies at the end of the season, collecting a 0-1-1 record, a 3.07 GAA and a .905 SV% in two appearances.

Before joining the Bobcats at the end of last season, Duplessis spent three seasons at Boston University. Over the course of his four years in the NCAA, Duplessis had a record of 36-13-2, a 2.07 GAA and a .915 SV% in 55 appearances.

With Duplessis getting his first starting workload in the NCAA last season, he showed he had the talent to succeed. As he joins the Grizzlies, he should have a good opportunity to earn playing time and could earn a potential look in the AHL if he can continue his success at the pro level.
