London Knights forward Evan Van Gorp has committed to Maine, it was announced earlier this week.
Van Gorp, a product of Watford, Ont., will join the Black Bears for the 2027-28 season.
Having gone undrafted in both the U16 and U18 OHL Priority Selections, Van Gorp is in his first full season with the Knights. Through 54 games so far, Van Gorp has scored 16 goals and added 19 assists for 35 points.
Across a total of 98 career OHL regular season games, Van Gorp has collected 22 goals and 25 assists for 47 points. Prior to making the jump to the OHL, Van Gorp played his minor hockey with the Lambton Jr. Sting and the Elgin Middlesex Canucks.
With Van Gorp establishing himself as an important contributor for the Knights this season, he has caught the eye of NHL Central Scouting, who have ranked him 215th among North American skaters. As he continues to improve his game, Van Gorp will be a solid addition for the Black Bears when he joins the team.
